Litter Critter trash drop-offs start Jan. 8

The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to clear bulky items and trash from personal property. Start your clean-it-up resolution at the Corpus Christi Litter Critter trash drop-off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, in the Briscoe King Pavilion parking lot, 15820 Park Road 22 on North Padre Island.

More than 70 tons of trash, brush, bulky Items, tires, metal, and more were collected in 2021 during the monthly drop-offs, according to Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette M. Guajardo.

“I am proud this program continues to provide a convenient way for residents to safely dispose of unwanted materials, thereby helping keep our neighborhoods clean,” Guajardo said. “It’s great to see the Litter Critter program back in its founding district!”

Items not accepted include household hazardous waste and concrete. Individuals must load their own items into the dumpster. No commercial hauling is allowed.

Upcoming Litter Critter drop-offs are scheduled for:

  • Feb. 12 at Flour Bluff High School, 2505 Waldron Road
  • March 12 at Calallen High School, 4001 Wildcat Drive
  • April 9 at West Oso High School, 754 Flato Road
