B.I.G. Event in Corpus Christi Goes Online
The Coastal Bend’s biggest business networking event, the B.I.G. Event, will not be stopped by COVID-19, announced event host Del Mar College Small Business Development Center. Designed to connect local business owners with area contractors, the free Booming industry,International trade, Government contracting Event will go online Wednesday, Aug. 5, its ninth year in service.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the virtual event will include a keynote speaker, an industry topic update, online presentations, and contractor virtual matchmaking networking sessions.
“Normally, we would offer The B.I.G. Event as a formal, face-to-face networking opportunity to connect Coastal Bend businesses with area contractors, but everyone has made adjustments during the pandemic, including us,” said Ann Fierova, SBDC director. “Participants can expect the same quality experience online, and we thank our sponsors in making this year’s event possible. Even during our current challenge with COVID-19, there are still many opportunities for businesses to expand and find new customers.”
Keynote speaker Beverly Beuermann-King will address “10 Essential Team Needs During Crisis and Uncertainty.” Beuermann-King is a stress and resiliency strategist and developer of the S-O-S Principle for controlling reaction to stress and building resiliency against challenges to live healthy, successful lives.
Virtual presentations include leadership skills, networking, and growth opportunities for selling products or services to vendors.
Registration is required for the event and the one-on-one sessions. Click on the names above for networking registration. In lieu of lunch, participants will each receive an electronic gift certificate of $10 from SCORE Corpus Christi to use at a local restaurant at a later time.
