The list of six city manager finalists has been narrowed to four, including Corpus Christi Assistant City Manager Keith Selman, currently serving as acting city manager. Other finalists are San Antonio Deputy City Manager Peter Zanoni; Lee R. Feldman, the former city manager of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Harry E. Black, the former city manager of Cincinnati. The list was announced after an hour-long executive session held during a specially called meeting of the City Council on Wednesday, April 3.

Next step in the almost year-long search for a new city manager is to bring the final four to town for interviews. Whether the four men will be questioned in public or in executive session has not yet been decided. A majority of the council members reported they would prefer public interviews.

The city has been without a city manager since May of last year when Margie Rose resigned. Then assistant city manager, Rose took over from Ron Olson, who quit unexpectedly as the city struggled with ongoing boil water notices.
