Island Market IGA opens on North Padre
Island Market IGA opened for business Jan. 8. The only grocery store on North Padre Island is now open from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. daily at 15402 South Padre Island Drive.
The long-awaited grocery store is part of a newly constructed shopping center that includes Corpus Christi’s third Hard Knocks Sports Bar. Island Market is 20,000 square feet of the 36,000-square-foot complex.
Called the Balli Center, the new complex is estimated to cost about $3.3 million and is owned by Lori and Moshin Rasheed of Corpus Christi. It was originally planned to open in July 2020.
The grocery store sells local produce, handcut meats, baked goods, ready-to-go meals, beer, and wine.
