Coastal Bend Lowe’s stores are looking to hire almost 100 new employees to prepare for the onslaught of spring customers. Job seekers can apply from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, at any of the three area stores, including the Corpus Christi location at 1530 Airline Road. Interviews will be held and jobs offered on the spot, the company announced in a media release.

Two additional Coastal Bend Lowe’s locations are at 150 FM 1069 South in Aransas Pass and 1420 E. General Cavazos Blvd. in Kingsville.

Nationwide, the company plans to hire more than 53,000 associates for spring, its busiest time of the year, which kicks off early in South Texas. Positions will be full-time, part-time, and seasonal, including lawn and garden associates, department supervisors, cashiers, and customer service.

Though some positions are seasonal, last year, half of the temporary hires were converted to permanent employees. All hourly employees are eligible to participate in Lowe’s quarterly bonus program.

Pay is competitive, according to Lowe’s, and all employees receive a 10 percent discount on merchandise. Lowe’s full-time and part-time associates have access to comprehensive health and wellness benefits, incentive programs, a 401(k), a discounted stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement, and paid volunteer time. Lowe’s also offers Track to the Trades, a company-funded certification program to help part-time and full-time associates pursue careers in the skilled trades, such as plumbing, electrical, or HVAC.
